We will change the way multicultural fans and international artists connect through community.
Konnect’d has and will continue to bring people together.
Strengthening community through music helps to drive our vision.
Providing more opportunities for engagement through intercommunication and embracing different cultures and lifestyles directly influences our mission.
We aim to increase safe spaces and produce content for multicultural fans and foster a better connection with the artist they love.
Purpose
How was Konnect’d started?
Where it all began…
Why Konnect’d?
Our Mission and Vision.
Konnect’d started with a collective that wanted to have their voices heard in the K-pop community. They often discussed the issues they had with elements surrounding K-pop that affected their enjoyment. Thandi suggested to start a podcast, but that iteration of Konnect’d wasn’t fully realized. Thandi was not done with the concept of what Konnect’d could be.
Chelcy attended too many concerts to count that were poorly ran and unorganized. She even helped with the coordination of attendee line up and assisted with crowd management even though the events companies didn’t employ her.
Thandi approached Chelcy with the idea of turning Konnect’d into a business. Konnect’d’s original mission and vision was to provide intimate and authentic fan-meet opportunities across the United States. Konnect’d aimed to satisfy the lack of interactive opportunities that both domestic and international artists and fans currently experience during limited engagement events.
Mission:
We aim to increase safe spaces, produce content for multicultural communities, and foster a better connection between artists and fans with a focus on diversity and inclusivity.
Vision:
To be the connection between music, society, and culture.
What does Konnect’d do?
We offer more than what’s on the surface.
CONNECTION
•
EXPRESSION
•
INCLUSIVITY
•
CONNECTION • EXPRESSION • INCLUSIVITY •
Our goal is to reflect these three words.
We strive for love, respect, diversity, connection, inclusivity, and expression. K-pop provides that to international communities through their music.
“The intimacy of K-pop creates familial connections with people around the world that gives a sense of belonging.”
— Connection
“The ability to covey one’s self and feel security in being heard allows fans to share their opinions openly and honestly. ”
— Expression
“Being able to see the value in all fans and artists.”
